Thus far, six front runners have come and gone from Nulato along the Yukon River as Zirkle reaches Kaltag

Zirkle is still in the lead reaching Kaltag, but five others, the elder Seavey, Baker, Burmeister,the younger Seavey, and Jeff King are dogging behind. Out of Nulato at 6:20 this morning, Zirkle had a headstart of four hours from the closest behind her out of the Yukon village. Mitch Seavey left the community at 9:23 am.

Alaska’s sweetheart, DeeDee Jonrowe is currewntly in seventh place and has yet to reach Nulato. She left Galena at 5:16 am this morning.
