Troopers reported on Thursday that they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle involved in a road rage incident minutes after midnight on Wednesday morning and made one arrest.
Although troopers have yet to reveal the details into the road rage incident, they pulled over the vehicle in Soldotna, and requested identities of the occupants of the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle provided the officer with a false identity, but the trooper would ultimately identify the passenger as Jordan Newton, a 34-year-old Kenai resident.
It was determined that Newton had a $20,000 probation violation warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release in a 2014 felony Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance conviction.
“Newton attempted to flee the scene on foot, but was immediately apprehended,” the arresting trooper reported.
Newton was transported to Kenai where he was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility for the outstanding warrant and charges of False Information.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
