Alaska State Troopers did a welfare check on Kenny Lake man, 56-year-old Russell Routt, only to find him deceased in his residence, the trooper dispatch divulged on Friday.
According to the report, when troopers arrived, they observed Routt through the living room window laying on the floor. They made entrance into the residence, to find him deceased and frozen. Because of that condition, troopers were unable to immediately determine the time of death.
Troopers say that when they investigated the scene, they discovered empty alcohol bottles and marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia scattered around the room. They determined that alcohol was a factor in his death.
The State Medical Examiner’s office was contacted, but rather than perform an autopsy on Routt, his remains were released to his family.
Troopers state that no foul play is suspected in Routt’s death.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
