After arriving on the scene, they found Smith to be in possession of several schedule IA, IIA, and IVA controlled substances. After conducting further investigation at the scene, they also found that Smith also had at his residence a concealable firearm. Because Smith is a felon, according to reports, this was also a violation.
Smith was placed under arrest and transported to the Kodiak jail and remanded there with no bail. He was charged with two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance V, and Misconduct Involving Weapons III.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
