The leader of the embezzlement scheme targeting Trident Seafoods in Kodiak was sentenced Monday in US District Court by Chief US district court judge Ralph R Beistline. she was charged with embezzling $493,060 from that processing plant.
33-year-old Isairis Wolfe was sentenced to 46 months in prison and must pay full restitution.
Wolfe used her position as a bookkeeper for Trident Seafoods to embezzle money from the company. She would write company checks to her friends and Associates Anne Wilson and Wilson’s minor son, as well as to Jeremy Smith, Valerie Olivares, and Jamie Fathke. Wolfe wrote as many as 52 checks on the Trident seafood account for approximately $500,000. In order to cover up the check fraud, Wolfe created fraudulent accounting records, according to assistant US attorney Aunnie Steward.

During her sentencing hearing, Wolfe told the court that it was use of methamphetamines and her habit that clouded her judgment and caused her to make the poor choices that she did. But, Judge Beistline noted that Wolfe’s scheme was motivated by greed, showed a lack of concern for her co-defendants, and abused the trust of her employer.
The special agent in charge of the FBI Alaska, Deirdre Fike stated,”Ms. Wolfe’s fraudulent activities significantly impacted Trident Seafood’s operations. Fike, in a statement, thanked the Kodiak Police Department for their help in the investigation.
Olivaris and Smith were sentenced in the case during the first part of June. Earlier this year, in January, Jamie Fathke was sentenced to four months in jail for helping Wolfe embezzle $30,000. Two months later, in March, Anne Wilson was sentenced to 16 months for the part she played in the embezzlement of $289,000.
Wolfe, the leader of the scheme, was the last to be sentenced.
