A man who was burned in a trash fire on October 3rd has died from his injuries.
The unidentified 60-year-old burn victim was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center by a family member after suffering from serious burns. Because there was no 911 call made at the time of the incident, EMS and the Mat-Su Fire Response was not triggered in the incident.

There is no information at this time as to the identity of the victim, the exact cause or the events that surrounded the accident.
The elderly victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle to be treated for his burns after initially being brought to the Mat-Su Hospital.
It was the Harborview Medical Center who reported the fatality on October 23rd.
Troopers are still investigating the incident.
The man was the nineteenth fire fatality in Alaska in 2012.
