A McGrath man was arrested and charged with Felony Assault after a New Years party he threw went awry on January 1st.
An Alaska State Wildlife Trooper responded to a report of a man who had been struck with a machete multiple times at the residence of 29-year-old John Lindeman Jr’ in McGrath.The trooper responded after the VPSO there received the report.
The investigation that ensued there would find that during the course of a New Years party that was thrown outside at a bonfire, an un-named Anchorage man had been attacked with a machete and suffered injuries to his forearm and hand.
The injured man was taken to the McGrath Clinic where he was treated for his injuries and released.
Lindeman was arrested on charges of Assault II and transported to the Bethel Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center where he was remanded.
