The Alaska State troopers report that a fire broke out in a Minto Home yesterday, claiming the life of Mary Ann Frank.
Mary Ann Frank, also known as Mary Ann Attatayuk, was pulled from the burning building by neighbors and Village Safety Officers. But, unfortunately, she was not breathing and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another, a male was also pulled from the flames. The unidentified man suffered burns over 50% of his body. He was flown to Seattle for treatment of his burns. He is in critical condition.
Foul play is not expected in the case.
Minto is located approximately 55 miles from Fairbanks as the crow flies.
