After receiving a report of a deceased male, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Portage Glacier Highway on Saturday.
Troopers responded to a vehicle pull-out at mile 4.5 of the Portage Glacier Highway at 3:12 pm on Saturday to investigate the reported death there. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the remains of 27-year-old Johannes Geiger of Anchorage. He had died of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
