After receiving a missing persons report was called in to Sitka Mountain Rescue Tuesday morning by the United States Coast Guard, SMR contacted the Alaska State Troopers.

It was reported to the troopers that 22-year-old Sitka resident, Tommy Bridges, was missing in the Harbor Mountain area at 10:05 am.
Sitka Mountain Rescue related to the troopers that it was reported that Bridges was despondent and had parked his vehicle at the top of Harbor Mountain.
Sitka Mountain Rescue located Bridges at 2:41 pm approximately four miles from the Harbor Mountain parking lot. He was found climbing up a rock slide in the area. Bridges was transported by ambulance to the Sitka Hospital. At the hospital, Bridges was treated for back injuries and mild hypothermia according to trooper reports.
