Ignoring calls to refrain from provocative behavior by South Korea, the United States, Russia and the United Nations, North Korea continued for the third straight day to fire short range projectiles into the North Korean coastal waters on Monday.
Among the short-range projectiles are believed to be three missiles fired on Saturday and Sunday. North Korea said that the firings were part of militrary training exercises and that they had a right as a sovereign nation to do so.

South Korea said that they are still trying to determine if their neighbor to the north fired rockets or projectiles into the Sea of Japan today. South Korea has continued to monitor for unusual troop movements from North Korea and is ready to respond to any escalation, but has seen no such actions thus far.
U.S. analysts are still trying to determine what the projectiles were. It is unknown if the projectiles were rockets or missiles. Because both projectiles would travel a similar ballistic path, it has proved hard to determine.
South Koreaq continues to urge the North to accept its calls to engage in working-level talks concerning the Industrial zone that closed down last month amid heightened tensions during the U.S. South Korea joint training games. The north pulled all of their workers from the kaesong complex on April 8th. SOuth Korea would like to bring the completed goods from the complex to South Korea.
