The Alaska State Troopers reported on Monday that the two Nunam Iqua snow-machiners that had reportedly been bound for Anchorage by way of Aniak, had been found and returned to St Marys by passers-by on Monday evening.
The two would-be travelers were located by passers-by and given a ride back to St Marys at 6:35 pm on Monday. According to troopers, the two riders, identified as 36-year-old Bernard Afcan and his girlfriend, 18-year-old Chenelle Adams “had gotten lost and ran out of gas.”
The two had departed St Marys on Saturday morning on their journey. Earlier reports said that they had believed to have been seen in Marshall on Saturday evening.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
