WASHINGTON D.C.-President Obama on Tuesday signed the debt limit bill passed by the Senate and the House. He signed it in private in the Oval Office about an hour after receiving it.
This now brings an end to the long and contentious debate that has so dominated National news of late. The debate over the limit has sapped any support for D.C. politicians from home and has seen their ratings drop to very low levels.
The biggest loser over the debate to raise the limit has been jobs. Any debate over job increases has suffered on the sidelines for months as the current issue was slowly hammered out.
