The Republican's answer to campaign statements and ads showing Romney as an outsourcer of American jobs was put online tonight by the Republican National Committee.
The site will officially be debuted tomorrow by RNC Chairman Reince Priebus at an event in Iowa. but the site is up and running now at ObamanomicsOutsourced.com.
The Index page is rather lengthy and goes on and on with a section for each country that they say has gotten stimulus funds, 22 in all.
|
The first on the list is Switzerland, where they claim cronyism in $50 million of stimulus ontracts, next comes China, followed by Finland, continuing down what was setup to look as if it were an endless list that drags on and on. The vast majority of the countries listed and funding is connected to wind energy. Most are asian or Pacific Rim countries.
The site sports an interactive map with all of the countries clickable. As you click the country, the page will whiz through the endless list to that country’s page.
The site is very new, only up today, so very little comment has been made of it. But, we can rest assured that the site will fuel the outsourcing discussions and debates for days and weeks to come.
Fact Checkers have debunked some of the claims that Stimulus money went to other countries, but it is apparent that some of the money did in fact make it overseas.
The Romney campaign has looked for a way to begin to lessen the damage of Obama’s campaign to paint him as an outsourcer, this site will certainly go a long way in that direction.
