Thursday at 12:40 pm, State Troopers responded to the scene of an accident on the Parks Highway.

When the troopers arrived at the scene, they found 59-year-old Bill Swanson of Salem, Oregon suffering from major, but non-life threatening injuries.
Apparently, according to the report, the Oregon man, was riding his Harley-Davidson northbound at mile 159 of the Parks Highway when he fell asleep at the handlebars. As a result, the motorcycle left the road, and Swanson was thrown from his seat.
Swanson was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer for treatment of his injuries.
The Harley was a total loss according to the report.
