Troopers generated a lead and had a suspect that they were looking at. A red 2002 Pontiac Sunfire had been seen at the residence at the approximate time of the burglary. They were unable to locate the vehicle in question at that time however.

Sweeney was transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on a $15,000 bail.
After further investigation,Sweeney was also charged with False Report when he attempted to implicate another individual in the crime.
