During the early morning hours of last Sunday, a Palmer man, 31-year-old Bobby Roberts called 911 and demanded that the troopers respond to his residence and engage him in a fight.
After receiving the call at 4:27am that morning, troopers called Roberts on the phone but declined to go to his residence and confront him.
One hour later,Roberts would call in to 911 again. This time, Roberts said that if the troopers didn’t come to fight him, he would go to a local establishment and hurt someone to get them to fight him. The troopers went to the unidentified establishment as a precaution.
Roberts would later make another call into 911. This time Roberts stated that he had knocked someone unconscious and was holding others hostage at his Golden Hills Circle residence in Palmer. Troopers confirmed that there were other people at the residence at the time of the call.
Troopers responded to the four-plex on Golden Hills Circle along with the Bureau of Highway Patrol. Neighbors in the other units were evacuated from the building. NEgotiators then tried to establish contact with Roberts in his residence.

At 9:30 am, troopers were able to make contact with people in the home. They were able to determine that there were two people in the residence, neither one of them were Roberts. Roberts had left the scene prior to the trooper’s arrival. He whereabouts were unknown.
On Saturday, November 10th, at 12:30 am, Alaska State Troopers located Roberts. He was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threatening, False Report, and Disorderly Conduct. he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
