The Alaska State Troopers were informed of a home invasion in Wasilla at 3:54 pm on Sunday.
Troopers responded to the incident and found the resident of the home unharmed.
The investigation conducted in the incident identified the two persons that entered the home demanding repayment of a past debt brandishing a knife and a firearm. Identified were 24-year-old Tarah Hargrove and 25-year-old Miguel Myers, both of Anchorage.
AST Palmer Patrol officers later contacted both individuals about the home invasion. In an attempt to conceal a $10,000 probation violation, Myers gave the officers a false name. Officers were able to ascertain his true identity and his probation violation however.
Both individuals were charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Assault in the Third Degree. Myers was additionally charged with Providing False Information as well as his outstanding arrest warrant.
Both were transported to Mat-Su Pretrial to await arraignment.
Hargrove’s bail was set at $20,000 and a Court Approved Third Party.
Myers had his bail set at $70,000 and a Court Approved THird Party.
The investigation into the incident is continueing.
