The 13-year-old girl that has been missing in the southeast community of Port Protection was found at approximately 12 noon today. It is reported that she has suffered no injuries although she was put under observation by medics aboard a Coast Guard helicopter.

The location where is was found is not known at this time.

The young girl went missing while on a hike Sunday afternoon. When she did not arrive back home Sunday night, officials were notified of her disappearance. Searches commenced on Monday with no results. Searches continued through the morning hours today with about 50 people on the ground looking for her as well as air assets from the Coast Guard and Army National Guard.
