After a 40-day investigation, a Russian Mission man was arrested on eight charges on Thursday the trooper dispatch revealed.
On April 9th, St Marys-based Alaska State Troopers were notified of a domestic dispute in Russian Mission. The victim in the dispute was medevaced to Bethel where they were also interviewed by the Bethel Violent Offenders Unit. As a result of that interview, it was determined that 26-year-old Yako Jackson had violated conditions of parole by drinking alcohol. He had previously been convicted of Assault.
A joint investigation by St Marys State Troopers and Bethel’s Violent Offenders Unit was concluded and a Bethel Grand Jury indicted Jackson on charges of Sexual Assault I x2, Assault I, Assault II x2, and three counts of Assault III.
A $100,000 warrant was issued, and Jackson was quickly arrested on Thursday.
His victim was granted a Civil Protective Order.
Jackson was remanded to the Bethel Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
