ANCHORAGE, Alaska-Manslaughter charges have been added to the list of charges leveled against the 26 year-old man, Sean Warner, for his part in the death of 14 year-old Jena Dolstad.
According to police, it was Warner who injected the lethal dose of “China White” heroin into the young girl’s arm on December 22nd. According to the two witnesses present during the incident, it took him several tries to inject the deadly substance into her.
Dolstad was found the next morning, face down in a pool of vomit in Warner’s bedroom, the next morning at 9:30 am by the three males. Police were not called until 1:30 pm. In the meantime, between her discovery and police being alerted, Warner gave the young girl another drug, Suboxone, in a futile effort to rouse her from her unconscious state. Shortly thereafter, the girl went into convulsions.
The girl, Jena Dolstad, would remain in a coma for six days in the hospital before dying without regaining consciousness on December 29th.
Warner faces a penalty of seven to eleven years in prison and a fine of $250,000 if convicted of the manslaughter charges. He also is charged with First Degree Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance as well as other charges in the case. The MICS I charge carries a penalty of five to ninety-nine years. He also faces evidence tampering charges for concealing the evidence in the case from responding officers. That evidence was later recovered from behind a dumpster at a local McDonald’s restaurant.
