Searchers in King Salmon have located the remains of Reanna Anderson, a resident of the small community missing since last week. Her body was found on Monday afternoon near Paradise Point near the village.

Investigators are now looking into the case as a possible homicide according to the Bristol Bay Borough police.

The search for Anderson began last Friday when Anderson’s mother alerted police of her disappearance after receiving a concerned call from her employer, PenAir, where Anderson worked as a ticket agent.

It was that same day that authorities attempted to stop her husband, Kyle Anderson, to query him about her disappearance. However, before they were able to speak with him, he killed himself using a firearm.

Crime scene investigators responded to the community over the weekend in an attempt to determine the cause of Anderson’s disappearance, and Bristol Bay Borough police requested information from community members in an effort to locate her.

Authorities are still uncertain if Kyle Anderson is in any way connected with her disappearance and death.
