SITKA, March 13, 2012 — The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) will host a special Denali KidCare pediatric dental clinic on April 18-24 at the SEARHC Dental Clinic at S’áxt’ HÃt Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka.
This special pediatric clinic will feature dental examination appointments on Wednesday and Thursday, April 18-19, with follow-up treatment taking place on Friday, Monday and Tuesday (April 20, 23 and 24). The clinic is open for children younger than 13 years old that are currently enrolled in the State of Alaska’s Denali KidCare program or are on Medicaid. Dr. Linsenmayer will lead the pediatric dental team for this clinic.
Parents and guardians who wish to have their children participate in this special clinic should call Selma Stonebreaker in Sitka at 966-8343 to schedule an exam appointment. Denali KidCare is a state program designed to make sure Alaska resident children younger than 18 of working and non-working parents, and expecting mothers who meet income guidelines, have insurance so they have full access to health care. SEARHC partners with the Denali KidCare program to provide special clinics around the region when pediatric dentists are available.
