The remaining suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombings is now in custody after being captured after a day long search.
19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured inside of a boat in a Watertown house’s backyard on Friday evening. He was severely wounded at the time of his capture. A homeowner discovered the suspect when he discovered blood on the outside of his boat that was parked in his back yard.
The homeowner lifted the cover on his boat to discover a bloodied Tsarnaev inside. The location that Tsarnaev was found was about a block outside of the search perimeter on Friday night. He was found shortly after officials lifted the lockdown. After he was located by the homeowner, a police helicopter confirmed, with their infrared equipment, that he was in fact holed up in the boat.

Boston and its suburbs had been closed down for most of the day as authorities searched neighborhoods for the man wanted in Monday’s horrific bombing at the finish of the Boston Marathon.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot and killed last night when authorities responded to a robbery call in Cambridge and a car chase ensued. A campus policeman was killed during the incident, another officer was seriously wounded. During the chase, the suspects fired dozens of rounds, and threw homemade bombs at the pursuing officers. Several officers were injured. When the elder Tsarnaev was brought to the hospital, he was in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, he perished at the hospital. His brother fled the scene on foot.
The door to door search was performed by thousands of law enforcement officials today before they apprehended the suspect.
At the scene, onlookers reported that they heard gunfire, then explosions, as officers used flash-bang grenades to disorient the wounded suspect. at about 8:45pm, he emerged from his hiding spot in the boat and was promptly taken into custody and transported to the hospital.
