Although police in Seldovia are investigating the death of a temporary worker in Seldovia, they report that they do not believe that his death involved foul play.
The remains of 47-year-old Troy Dean Fisher, of Grand Junction, Colorado have been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage after his body was discovered by two fishermen returning to Seldovia after checking their crab pots at approximately 8:30 am on Saturday. He was found on the beach on Backer’s Island.
When the two fishermen came upon Fisher’s body, after determining that he was not breathing, called 911 and Seldovia police responded with EMS. Fisher was declared deceased at the scene.
Fisher was last seen the previous evening around 5 or 6 pm police report.
Fisher had been in Seldovia doing work for a landowner there.
