Exxon, State Officials to testify on settlement and future plans during meeting in Anchorage
ANCHORAGE-The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing this Tuesday on the status of Point Thomson. The hearing coincides with the state’s Oil and Gas Division request for public comment on ExxonMobil’s Point Thomson development plans. The public comment period ends June 22, 2012.
Starting at 10:00 AM, Legislative Counsel Don Bullock, Department of Natural Resources Deputy Commissioner Joe Balash and Intergovernmental Coordinator Jon Katchen, and Attorney General Michael Geraghty will present analysis and discuss legal issues surrounding the Point Thomson settlement.
At 2:00 PM, representatives from ExxonMobil will present their plan of operation for Point Thomson.
This presentation will be followed by public testimony from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
