Gunfire erupted at a Mountain View gas station early Monday morning at approximately 3 am when an argument turned violent.

Witnesses say two vehicles pulled into the station on the 4600 block of Mountain View, an SUV and a sedan, people got out of the vehicles and a heated verbal altercation ensued. The argument quickly escalated and numerous shots rang out. One man was injured in the gunfire.

The two vehicles sped away from the scene leaving the injured man behind. The injured man was later transported to the hospital to be treated for his non-life-threatening injury.

The investigation of the incident is continuing and police have yet to make an arrest.
