The earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 and was centered 24 miles west of Clam Gulch, and 101 miles Southwest of Anchorage.
Although shaking was felt, houses creaked and hanging objects swayed with the force of the quake, it wasn’t large enough to cause any damage.
The shaker was generated at a depth of 49.1 miles beneath Cook Inlet.
