A Soldotna man cited for No Proof of Insurance now faces much more serious charges after trying to dupe troopers with fake verification on Saturday.
At 3:52 pm on Saturday, 35-year-old Bradley Perkovich contacted troopers at the AST post in Soldotna in an effort to have an earlier Proof of Insurance citation corrected. But, troopers would discover that the documentation that Perkovich presented to troopers at the post had been intentionally falsified.
As a result of Perkovich presenting troopers with the fake proof of insurance, Perkovich was arrested on charges of Tampering with Physical Evidence and Forgery II, both felonies. Subsequent to the deception, Perkovich was also found to be in Violation of Conditions of Release. Perkvich was currently released on bail in a Controlled Substance case from November as well as well as another case, dating to last February, that involves multiple drug counts as well as a weapons and DUI charge.
The suspect was transported to Kenai where he was remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility with no bail set.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
