It was reported by trooper dispatch, that troopers conducted a traffic stop at Kalifornsky Beach Road and the Sterling Highway for moving violations, when the driver fled his vehicle and entered a local business there during the early morning hours on Thursday.
Troopers pursued the driver, identified as 39-year-old Charles Perry, into the business and detained him. Troopers, after taking Perry into custody, would determine that Perry was driving under the influence and was doing so with a revoked license.

It was also found that Perry had two firearms on his person when he was arrested and failed to inform troopers of this. It was also found that Perry had numerous firearms in his vehicle as well during the time he was under the influence.
Perry was also the subject of two active arrest warrants totaling $5,000.
Perry was transported to Kenai and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on charges of Felony DUI, Felony Refusal, Misconduct Involving Weapons III x3, VI x4, and V x3, Driving with License Revoked, Driving in Violation of License Limitations, and disorderly Conduct as well as warrants.
