Alaska State Troopers were contacted late Saturday night at approximately 11:30 pm and it was reported by the caller that a domestic assault had occurred in Soldotna.

Troopers responded to the scene to find that the person in the allegation had fled the scene.
Troopers searched for the woman described in the complaint in the woods near the residence.
She was subsequently found by troopers and arrested.
Troopers arrested the woman described in the complaint but not without incident. According to the trooper dispatch, the woman resisted arrest at the time of trooper contact with her.
She was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest, transported and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
It was found later that the original complaint against the woman was unfounded.
49-year-old Laura Evans appeared in court this morning and her case was disposed and charges were dropped.
