After year-long investigations into sexual assault allegations by a Pedro Bay women, The targets of three separate investigations were indicted for felony sexual crimes.
According to Alaska State Troopers, a Pedro Bay woman reported to troopers that she had been sexually asssaulted several time s over the years by three Pedro Bay men, the first starting when she was a child.
She reported that she had been sexually assaulted in differrent locations in the state by the three men from the small community in the bay of the same name at the northeast end of Illiamna Lake.
The woman claimes that Michael Lee Jacko, age 47, of Pedro Bay sexually assaulted her when she was a minor at several locations. A Grand Jury indicted Jacko on May 23rd for two counts of Sexual Assault on a Minor in the First Degree, two counts of Sexual Assault of a Minor in the Second Degree and one count of Sexual Assault of a Minor in the Third Degree.
A warrant was issued for Jacko’s arrest and he was taken into custody on May 25th by Illiamna Alaska State Troopers. He was transported to the Bristol Bay Borough Detention Center where his bail was set a $50,000.
A second indictment was handed down by a Grand Jury on May 24th. This indictment charged Benjamin Soika Foss, age 53 of Pedro Bay with one count of Sexual Assault in the First Degree and one count of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree.

A warrant was also issued for Foss and he was arrested by Illiamna troopers on May 25th and remanded to Bristol Bay Borough Detention Facility and his bail was set a $50,000.
On the same day, a Grand Jury also handed down an indictment of Kiska Shugak, age 23, of Pedro Bay as a result of a year-long investigation by both Illiamna and Dillingham State Troopers. He was charged with one count of Burglary in the First Degree, one count of Attempted Sexual Assault in the First Degree and one count of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree after it was reported that Shugak broke into her house and assaulted her.
Shugak was also arrested and remanded to the Bristol Bay Borough Detention Center and held on a $50,000 bail.
