Five people were transported to Central Peninsula Hospital on Saturday afternoon for injuries in a three-vehicle collision at mile 115 of the Sterling Highway.
According to the trooper dispatch, Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of the accident at 3:50 pm on Saturday for multiple injuries.

The trooper investigation would find that 42-year-old Colorado resident Tina Abbott fell asleep at the wheel while traveling along the Sterling Highway and crossed over the centerline of the road colliding with a motorhome and another vehicle that were traveling in the opposite direction causing one of the vehicles to flip over.
Passing motorists stopped to assist, and as they were extricating Abbot and her husband from their car, the vehicle caught on fire.
In total, five people were transported to the Central Peninsula Hospital for treattment of minor injuries.
Fire engines responded to the fire.
Troopers report all passengers in the multiple vehicles were wearing their seat belts at the time of the incident.
Abbot was cited during the investigation.
