Togiak VPSOs arrested two men in the village of Togiak on Saturday after receiving a call reporting a physical disturbance at a residence there.

Their investigation at the scene revealed that 29-year-old Mark Shugak, and 30-year-old Randall Snyder, both of Togiak, had assaulted an adult male there. Both suspects left the scene prior to the Village Public Safety Officers’ arrival.

Snyder, who was being actively sought since the previous day, when a separate investigation was spurred by a call from a female resident of Togiak called in to report that Snyder had assaulted her, was found and contacted a short time after the Saturday disturbance call.
