On Saturday morning, while on patrol on Church Road in Wasilla, troopers saw a black Hyundai with an equipment violation and attempted a traffic stop.
But, the vehicle, rather than stopping for the troopers, sped away in an attempt to shake the law enforcement officers. Troopers followed the vehicle and saw it duck behind an apartment complex on Success Drive near Church Road.
Troopers would make contact with the driver of the vehicle, and he was identified as 38-year-old Palmer resident Jason D. Rose.
Rose was found to be without a valid license. He was subsequently arrested for Driving on a Revoked License, Violating Conditions of Release, and Eluding Troopers. During his arrest, Rose was found to be in possession of brass knuckles as well and so was charged with Misconduct Involving Weapons IV as well.
Rose was transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer, where he was remanded and his bail set at $1,5000 plus a Court Approved Third Party Custodian.
