Alaska State Troopers based out of Anchor Point made an arrest after a suspicious vehicle was reported at a local store in Homer on Friday.
Troopers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at 10:55 pm on Friday.
When troopers arrived at the scene and ran the plates on the vehicle, they found that the plates did not match the plates registered to the vehicle. Troopers contacted the driver of the vehicle when he returned and entered the car.
When contacted, the driver fo the vehicle gave troopers false information about his identity, but his name would be ascertained after a short investigation at the scene. They would find that the man, now identified as 30-year-old Tamin Ting Jr of Anchorage, was the subject of two active arrest warrants.
“The first warrant was for Assault in the 1st degree and the second was for MICS in the 4th degree. Both warrants were Parole warrants with no bail pending time to be served,” troopers report.
Ting was arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where he was remanded, where he was held pending his court date.
