While on patrol on the Parks Highway, troopers observed a vehicle speeding on the highway near Margin Way.
Troopers pulled over the speeding vehicle and as the vehicle came to a stop, troopers saw the driver of the vehicle as they signalled it to a stop. When the vehicle came to a halt, the driver, identified as 28-year-old Palmer resident Joshua Griffiths, switched places with the front seat passenger in the vehicle, 31-year-old Palmer resident Luke Douglas.
After a short investigation, troopers arrested Griffiths for Felony DUI and Driving with License Revoked.
Douglas was arrested on charges of Hindering Prosecution II and Allowing an Unlicensed Person to Drive.
Griffiths was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was remanded and his bail set at $5,250.
Douglas was released at the scene.
