On Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm, a call went in to the Alaska State Troopers of a fatal ATV crash near Glacier View on the Glenn Highway.

The crash occurred near mile 100 on the Glenn.
Alaska State troopers as well as Wildlife troopers responded to the scene. They drove to the general location then had to continue the rest of the way to the scene by ATV.
Although it was determined that 63-year-old Wasilla resident, William Beatty lost control of the ATV, resulting in the vehicle pinning him under the ATV, troopers do not know the specifics of the crash as Beatty was traveling alone when the accident occurred.
The accident occurred just under two miles from a trailhead near Hicks Creek on the Pinochle trail.
Beatty’s remains were turned over to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage as an autopsy was requested.
Beatty’s next of kin have been notified.
