Troopers Investigate Ketchikan Burglary at Gunpoint

burglary investigationTroopers in Ketchikan responded to a call of a Burglary in Progress on the 900 block of Forest Park just after noon on Monday, the trooper dispatch revealed on Tuesday.

The victim reported that he “who was coming home for lunch entered his house and was confronted by an unknown suspect who was armed with an SKS rifle.” The burglar ordered the homeowner not to move, but instead, the homeowner fled the residence.

The victim reported that he last saw the burglar as he fled through the woods behind the man’s home. He had stolen the homeowner’s SKS rifle and his .22 caliber Marlin rifle. The victim reported that the two firearms were valued at approximately $500.

Troopers reveal that “The suspect is described as a white adult male, approximate height is 5’6” to 5’8”, thin build approximately 40 years in age wearing a black hat, black jacket.”
