Troopers Investigate Soldotna Construction Site Burglary/Theft

trooper crime sceneAlaska State Troopers are asking for information on a burglary that occurred after 5 pm on last Thursday from a construction site on Salty Street in Soldotna.

A 53-year-old male called in to the troopers on Friday, and stated that after business hours the day previous, “that approximately $10,000 worth of tools and equipment” were taken from the site.

The following day, Saturday, troopers received information that the stolen tools were at a residence on Echo Lake Road near Soldotna. After obtaining a search warrant, troopers traveled to the residence and served the warrant. Their search “recovered multiple stolen items belonging to the victim,” the trooper dispatch revealed on Monday.

Troopers are asking the public for additional information inn the ongoing burglary/theft investigation. Information can be called in to the Soldotna Trooper Post at 907-262-4453.
