A 28-year-old Kasilof man was taken to the Central Peninsula Hospital for “cold-related injuries” after troopers responded to perform a welfare check at 5:31 pm on Tuesday evening.
Troopers responded to a Kasilof residence after receiving a call of a suicidal man at that location.
An investigation at the scene would find that the man had damaged the property of his 29-year-old female room mate the night before. He then proceeded to disappear into the woods hours before troopers were called to perform a check on him.
The responding troopers searched the woods at the location and succeeded in locating the missing man. When found, the man was suffering from “cold-related injuries,” troopers reported.
