Alaska State Troopers reported on Sunday, that they made an arrest at 4 PM that afternoon in connection with an investigation initiated on Saturday for a burglary at the Newman’s Tesoro gas station near mile 69 of the Parks Highway.
Troopers reported to that location at 6:08 AM on Saturday morning. The investigation “revealed the business had been broken into with over $750 damage done to store property, and approximately $50 in merchandise stolen.”
Following their investigation, Alaska State troopers contacted 18-year-old Tyler Breitenstein at his Anchorage residence, and placed him under arrest, for charges of Burglary II, Criminal Mischief III, and Theft IV.
Troopers transported Breitenstein to Palmer, where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, where he was remanded and his bail set at $2,500.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
