Alaska State Troopers report that they have re-arrested a Wasilla man who escaped hospital staff at the end of July.

Troopers responded to a call reporting a suspicious male near mile 5 of KGB Road at 4:24 am on Saturday morning. When they arrived, they found that the man was 33-year-old John Linebaugh, who had multiple warrants for his arrest that included Parole Violations for Drug Misconduct III and IV, Failure to Stop for a Peace Officer I, Resisting Arrest, and Reckless Driving.

It was Thursday, July 28th that Linebaugh took troopers on a hi-speed car chase after an attempted traffic stop. The car chase didn’t end until Linebaugh crashed into a trooper vehicle then crashed into the roundabout at Lucille Street and Sheldon Road.

Following the crash, Linebaugh fled on foot and a K-9 Unit was brought in and ultimately tracked down Linebaugh and after a brief struggle brought him under control.

He was taken to the hospital after that incident, and while there, escaped from hospital staff.
