At 5:29 am Sunday morning, troopers with the Bureau of Highway Patrol as well as Palmer Patrol Troopers responded to a roll-over accident on Luke Street off of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.
When they arrived at the scene, they found that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene.
Checking the registration of the 2004 GMC 1500, they found that the owner’s address was nearby.
Troopers went to the address on the registration and contacted the owner of the vehicle there. They found that 23-year-old Wasilla resident Michael A Stockman was impaired by alcohol and had been driving his vehicle under the influence.

Stockman was placed under arrest and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there on charges of DUI, DWLR, and the warrant.
His bail was set at $5,500 and Court Approved Third Party.
