Alaska State troopers in Fairbanks followed a trail of stolen vehicles to the thief in North Pole late last week according to the trooper dispatch.
It was at 8:09 AM last Thursday that Alaska State troopers in Fairbanks were notified that a stolen vehicle was founded a business in Salcha. When troopers responded to that location to investigate, it was found that another vehicle had been stolen from that location.
When the second vehicle was found at another location, it was also found that another vehicle had been stolen from the same location.
Troopers say that that pattern was continued across Fairbanks and North Pole. But, a burglary was also discovered on Friday at one of the locations as well.
Then , that same morning, troopers would arrest 24-year-old Sergey Delaney in the vicinity of the sixth stolen vehicle on Moriarty Avenue in North Pole.
Delaney, who has a history of theft and vehicle theft listed in the court system’s online access, was arrested and charged with six counts of vehicle theft, Burglary I and Criminal Trespass II.
A previous Fairbanks vehicle theft case from March 30th has been re-opened and Delaney was indicted on that vehicle theft case as well. Another vehicle theft case in Glennallen was dismissed at the end of March because of delays court records show.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
