Alaska State Troopers are seeking information on a pickup truck that caused another driver to take evasive action and drive off of the road in Homer on Monday night at 11:11 pm.
According to the trooper dispatch, they responded to a report of a Chevy Cobalt off of the road near mile 5 of East End Road on Monday night to find the vehicle had collided with a culvert. The driver had suffered minor injuries. Those injuries were sustained when the vehicle’s air bags deployed. The unidentified driver was transported to South Peninsula Hospital, was treated, and released.

According to the driver, a pickup truck, possibly a GMC was traveling in the opposite direction and partially crossed over the centerline. The driver of the Cobalt took evasive action, causing him to slide off of the roadway.
The Alaska State Troopers are asking anyone with information as to the identity of the truck or the driver to contact them at the Anchor Point post at (907) 235-3000.
