A Voznesenka man was arrested on terroristic threatening charges after double incidents in that community 25 miles east of Homer at the end of the road system, troopers reported.
Trooper dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the small Russian community at approximately 7:12 pm on Monday. The investigation into the incident would reveal that 40-year-old Joseph Kuzmin had “threatened to kill an underage family member and burn down his house,” troopers reported.
Following the initial report and the ensuing investigation, and as troopers were attempting to locate Kuzmin, a second complaint was called in to troopers. In that complaint, Kuzmin was again reported to have entered another home uninvited and threatened to kill the occupants and burn their dwelling down as well.
When located, Kuzmin was arrested without incident, transported to Homer, where he was remanded to the Homer Jail and held without bail pending arraignment.
On Tuesday, Kuzmin was arraigned on charges of Terroristic Threatening II, Burglary I, Harassment II, and three counts of Assault IV. A short term civil protective order was also filed, with Kuzmin as the respondent.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
