After a several-month-long investigation into the sale of alcohol, marijuana, hashish, and heroin in the Bethel area, troopers announce that they have rounded up five individuals suspected of sales of alcohol and drugs.
The Western Alaska Alcohol and Narcotics Team (WAANT) with the assistance of the Bethel Police Department, served several search warrants simultaneously in the Bethel area on Tuesday and arrested 22-year-old Matthew Hickman, 27-year-old Christopher Hickman, 22-year-old Lorraine Hickman, 42-year-old Gabriel Baker, and 58-year-old Kevin Cockcroft, all of Bethel.
All five of the suspects were transported to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center and remanded there.
Matthew Hickman was charged for Violating Conditions of Release and his bail was set at $1,000.
Christopher Hickman was charged with two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III and a count of MICS V. His bail was set at $5,000.
Lorraine Hickman was charged with three counts of MICS III and a count of MICS V. Her bail was set at $5,000.
Gabriel Baker was charged with three counts of MICS V and a count of Selling Alcohol Without a License.
Kevin Cockroft was charged with two counts of MICS V.
