After observing what appeared to be a drug deal being made by the occupants of two vehicles in a parking lot in Wasilla, by a Mat-Su Drug Unit Investigator, Alaska State Troopers followed and stopped a vehicle as it left the parking lot on Tuesday.
After stopping the vehicle, troopers contacted 43-year-old Wasilla resident Brent J. Williams, and he was found to be in the possession of methamphetamine.
After trooper stopped the vehicle, they found that there were also three children aboard.
As a result of their investigation, troopers arrested Williams and charged with two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV, and one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance V. Subsequently, because Williams had the three children in the vehicle, he was also charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child II.
Williams was transported to the Matsu pretrial facility in Palmer, where he was remanded and his bail was set at $25,000 plus a Third-Party Custodian.
