Just prior to midnight on Monday night, a report was made to the Alaska State Troopers in Talkeetna informing them of a moose strike involving a motorcycle.
Troopers responded to mile 122 of the Parks Highway.

Their investigation into the accident revealed that 45-year-old Charles G. Moses of Wasilla was traveling southbound on his Maroon 2011 Harley Davidson Motorcycle at a little below the posted speed limit of 65 mph, when a moose calf stepped into theh roadway in front of Moses.
When Moses struck the moose, he lost control of his bike and was thrown from his Harley onto the shoulder of the road.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the call and Moses was transported by LifeMed helicopter to Providence Medical Center.
Moses, who was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident was reported by EMS to be in critical but stable condition.
The Harley suffered several thousands of dollars worth of damage.
